ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There are seven races on the Week 10 schedule of events for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division. A list of the Week 10 events is listed below.
Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for
their National point total.
With just a couple of weeks until drivers start getting to the 11 Week mark of their respective seasons, the Series like to use a driver’s Weekly Point Average (WPA) to see who’s hot and who’s not in the Top 20 of the point standings. A driver may be high in the point standings just because they have competed in more weeks than another driver.
Brett White of Kosciusko, MS is hot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Sportsman point standings and he is hot on the WPA List. White leads the National standings with 449 points after nine weeks of racing, and he also tops the WPA List at 49.89 out of a possible 50.
Ryan King of Anniston, AL is second in the Late Model Sportsman National standings with 438 points after nine weeks of racing, but he is third on the WPA List at 48.67. J.C. Wilson of Milton, FL is fifth in the National standings with 393 points after eight weeks of racing. That puts the second-generation driver second on the WPA List at 49.13.
The number of weeks raced and the WPAs for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsmen have been added to the Top 20 of the point standings posted on the web site at www.crateracinusa.com.
