Gainey Inherits All-Tech Win for CRUSA Late Model Sportsman Tour Opener

(Lake City, FL – March 1, 2025) – Wyatt Gainey, hailing from Ft. White, FL, captured his first career victory in the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour at All-Tech Raceway, following a dramatic twist in the opening race of the 2025 season. Gainey inherited the win after post-race inspection revealed an issue with the left rear spring of the car driven by Jason Garver, who had crossed the finish line first.

The race, which marked the official start of the second season for the CRUSA 602 Late Model Sportsman Tour, was a thrilling 25-lap feature filled with drama. Gainey, who had started the race from third after winning his heat race, was in position to capitalize as the race unfolded. Early leader Bubba Roling of Clay Hill, FL, dominated the first part of the race, holding the top spot through multiple caution periods. However, just three laps from the finish, Roling was forced to retire from the race with an electrical issue, handing the lead over to Garver, who held it until the checkered flag.

Despite Garver's strong performance, a post-race technical inspection led to his disqualification, elevating Gainey to the top of the podium. Brayden Johnson of Moultrie, GA, finished second, while Caleb Ashby from Cunningham, TN, rounded out the podium in third.

The series now shifts its focus to the 2nd Annual Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA, March 27-29. The event will feature a $4,000-to-win feature and will include both preliminary events on Friday and the main event on Saturday night. Fans unable to attend can catch all the action live on Crate Racin' USA TV.
